The Anchor Holds

Have you ever been there? That place of God-confidence? A place where you’ve just weathered a storm, and you’re still recovering but you realize something so wonderful...

Your Anchor held!

I love the story of Joseph and how he said:

But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.
— Genesis 50:20

Many bad things happened to Joseph, but God had a plan and a purpose for his life.  Joseph did not get bitter.

He trusted God

and

His Anchor held.

Why does God allow us to go through storms?

So that we can know Him more.  It’s in the storms of life that we learn we can trust Him.

Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
— 2 Timothy 3:12

Each battle we face

is the Lord’s.

The Holy Spirit

is incomparable

in battle!

For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him.
— 2 Chronicles 16:9

I just want to take this time to praise Him!

Greater is He

that is in us

than he that is

in the world.

“The most important thing

that happens in your life

is what happens

to your heart.”

Thanks to God’s grace, our heart gets better, not bitter.
