Capturing Truth in Christ

Perspective…the lens we see life through—makes all the difference! In photography, the aperture is the opening in a lens through which light passes to enter the camera. Just as the pupil is the aperture of the eye—God’s Word is the aperture of the heart! The more light we let into our heart, the more clearly we see life.

Not only is God’s Word the light for seeing life—it’s the light for seeing ourselves through His eyes.

The Lord has been teaching me the importance of acknowledging (capturing) the truth of who we are in Him—along with all the spiritual advantages we have in Him!

That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.
— Philemon 1:6

Philemon 1:6 Dissected and Defined:

“That the communication [imparting from one to another] of thy faith [affectionate practical confidence in the testimony of God] may become effectual [operative and powerful] by the acknowledging [recognition, gratefulness and owning] of every good thing [spiritual advantage] which is in you in Christ Jesus.”

As women of God, our ability to impact others with our confidence and hope in God and His Word, becomes operative and powerful as we recognize, own, and are grateful for every spiritual advantage which is in us in Christ Jesus.

Here’s a list of Scripture containing those spiritual advantages we have in Christ.

[I’ve included a button with a link to a printable].

I invite you to join me in capturing the truth of who we are in Christ!

Heav'n above is deeper blue,
earth around is sweeter green,
that which glows in ev'ry hue
Christless eyes have never seen.
Birds in song his glories show,
flow'rs with richer beauties shine
since I know, as now I know,
I am his and he is mine.
