Singing There

I am learning to appreciate this amazing gift called grace more and more each day!  Daily, I come to Jesus for help in time of need.

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
— Psalm 23:1

Just like children learn through the process of correction and discipline, we have our Heavenly Father Who lovingly teaches us. God promises if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins. (1 John 1:9)

Not only does God have mercy on us, forgive and cleanse us from our sin—He restores our soul!!

For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:

He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
— Proverbs 6:23; Psalm 23:3

When I was a little girl, I loved to walk outside in a field or patch of woods close to wherever we were living at the time. As I feasted on the beauty, I would look up into the sky and all around and feel true joy! I would sing there.

Sweet Innocence.

And I will give her her vineyards from thence, and the valley of Achor for a door of hope: and she shall sing there, as in the days of her youth, and as in the day when she came up out of the land of Egypt.
— Hosea 2:15

But who could imagine that after a lifetime of sin, God could make me feel that way again?  I’m praising Him today because He has! Sometimes I just stop in the middle of my day and turn around dancing and sing! It’s such a surprise and unimaginable undeserved miracle to have innocence again.

To find joy

in the purest form…

in the presence

of our Lord.

Yes, I know He is watching this fifty-nine-year-old child of His as I sing and dance again. : ) Someday when looking back over life, those are the moments that will stand out as the best!

Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness; To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.
— Psalm 30:11-12

Yes…I will thank Him forever!

As I share my hope and praise the One Who redeemed my life, I have a burden for hearts who are hurting right now.  These are perilous times we live in.  Perhaps now—more than ever before—we are called to show forth the praises of Him Who has called us out of darkness into His marvelous light!

If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?

The Lord is in his holy temple, the Lord’s throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.
— Psalm 11:3-4

“A vision of the Lord on His Throne is all the righteous need for security in the face of the threat of the wicked.”

This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise.

To the praise of the glory of His grace, wherein He hath made us accepted in the Beloved.
— Isaiah 43:21; Ephesians 1:6

Redeemed. Accepted. Equipped. For Such a Time as This.
